Catalans cannot get bored during Christmas time. For those who like going to the theatre, they can enjoy Els Pastorets (literally The Shepherds), a traditional Catalan Christmas play.
Do not confuse Els Pastorets with Pessebres vivents (live Nativity scenes, we talked about them here). Els Pastorets is a theatre play with three stories at the same time: one of Joseph and Mary looking for lodgings and birth, another about angels against demons, and the last one which is like the funny part of the play, is focused on two shepherds: Lluquet and Rovelló.
They are celebrated all around Catalonia and are played mainly by cultural organizations and different groups and companies.
