Ok, let’s get down to business today… So, what do we eat on Christmas Day (December 25th) for lunch?

Families gather around a table and the menu is mainly the following (at least at my home 😛 ):
Appetizers
Escudella (soup with a type of pasta called galets and balls of meat called pilota (ball)) and carn d’olla (the meat that we cook with the soup and then we serve it separately)

Pollastre farcit (chicken stuffed with plums and pine nuts – I’m allergic to pine nuts so at home we cook it without them)

We also eat some fruit before starting with the real dessert hahaha
Neules and torrons (we talked about Catalan Christmas sweets on this post). Also polvorons (shortbread cookies of diferent flavours)
As this is not enough and my, my sister’s and my mum’s birthdays are in December, we also have a panettone (not typical from Catalonia, but typical of Christmas haha) to celebrate with the family who comes this day.
And we toast with cava!!
Are you hungry now? 😀 What do you eat on Christmas Day?
